▸ the hand behind your bottles

Cathy, calligrapher & glass engraver.

I personalise your brand's bottles, and any other object, by hand and live at your events. A signature that never fades, for your clients.

▸ the path

From an engineering desk to the diamond burr.

A thermal-hydraulic engineer by training, I always leaned toward the craft arts. Before engraving, I already practised lettering and brush lettering; but what drives me today is calligraphy and engraving for events.

I taught myself by practising, on every object I could get my hands on, until I found the right gesture and the right tool. Then agencies, and above all brands, trusted me with their events. What started as a pastime became far more than that: today I work with luxury houses, creating brand experiences of their own.

▸ the signature

By hand, never by laser.

My favourite hand is copperplate, English calligraphy: the contrast between thick and thin strokes is what makes an engraved name elegant.

A laser engraves the standard. Ask for anything more and the answer is no. By hand, I adapt: a phrase, several lines, a word in another script (I have engraved in Arabic, Hebrew, Cyrillic), a heart or a floral touch on request. The client writes their text in my notebook, we check it together, and only then do I personalise.

▸ what I engrave and personalise

The bottle, and far beyond.

Perfume bottles

The signature use. A name, a message, a date, on clear glass as on amber or tinted glass.

Cosmetics

Small formats such as lipsticks, mascaras, palettes and cases, personalised to carry everywhere. Hard plastic engraves just as well as glass.

Glass & spirits

Bottles, magnums, special editions. The same hand, on a larger format.

Earthenware & ceramics

Earthenware and glazed ceramic engrave like glass. On a piece that will not take the burr, a mug for instance, I personalise with a marker.
